Karnali Province Assembly Passes Karnali Pragna Pratisthan Bill

Surkhet. The 'Karnali Pragna Pratisthan Bill' introduced by the Karnali Province Government has been passed. The bill was passed by a majority in the Provincial Assembly meeting held on Tuesday evening.

Social Development Minister Ghanshyam Bhandari stated that with this bill becoming law, it is expected to support the development of Karnali's folk literature, culture, archaeology, folklore, and fine arts.

'This region is the cradle of heritage and culture, the center of the Jwala, Sinja, and Karnali civilizations,' he said, 'this bill will play a major role in this.'

Now, after certification by the Provincial Chief, the bill will be enacted as an act and come into implementation. Through the act, Pragna-related activities will be conducted in Karnali Province.
