Construction of School Building Stalled for Three Years Due to Lack of Funds in Parbat

Parbat. The construction of a building for a basic school in Bahaadi Rural Municipality here has remained incomplete for the past three years.

The construction of the eight-room concrete building at Rambadevi Mata Basic School in Limsing, Bahaadi Rural Municipality-4, has stalled due to a lack of funds. The construction was initiated with a budget of 3.6 million allocated by the Ministry of Education under the President's Educational Reform Program. The construction has been suspended because additional budget management could not be secured.

Students are forced to study in difficult conditions as the building remains incomplete. The principal, Shivani Pun, informed that there are currently 19 students studying in the school, which offers classes up to grade four. She stated that students are being taught in a room enclosed by tin sheets on the ground floor of the building.

Principal Pun expressed concern that parents and teachers are worried that if a storm hits, the tin sheets enclosing the room where young children are kept might be blown away and cause injuries.
