Vivo Launches Budget Smartphone Y05 in Nepali Market with Focus on Extended Battery Life

Kathmandu. The Chinese brand Vivo has launched its new budget smartphone, the Vivo Y05, in the Nepali smartphone market. Unveiled during an event in Kathmandu, the phone claims to set a new standard, particularly in battery capacity and durability.

Targeting users looking for powerful features at an affordable price, Vivo has made a significant leap in battery technology this time. The strongest aspect of this smartphone is its 6500 mAh capacity 'BlueVolt' battery. While budget phones usually feature batteries up to 5000 mAh, Vivo has equipped this one with a high-capacity battery.

According to the company, this battery is designed to remain fully healthy for 5 years, meaning users will not have to worry about replacing the battery or experiencing performance degradation for a long time. This battery appears very useful for those who spend all day gaming, watching videos, or being active on social media.

For phone protection and durability, it has been given an IP65 rating, which protects the device from dust and water splashes. Additionally, an 'Professional Anti-Drop' design has been used to mitigate physical damage that might occur from accidental drops.

In terms of display, it features a smooth screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing a very seamless experience while operating. To ensure the screen remains clear even in bright sunlight, it is equipped with 1200 nits of peak brightness, and a 'Boost' feature has been added to increase volume up to 200 percent to enhance the audio experience.

The Vivo Y05 will be available in two variants in the Nepali market. The model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at NPR 16,999, while the model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is set at NPR 19,499. This phone will be available for purchase starting March 25, 2026, from authorized retail stores across the country and the online shopping portal Daraz.
