Gagan Thapa Arrives at Nepali Congress Central Office After Resignation Rejection

Kathmandu. Following the rejection of his resignation by the Central Committee, Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has arrived at the party's central office in Sanepa today. Previously, the Central Committee meeting, which lasted for three days, made a six-point decision, including rejecting the resignation of President Gagan Thapa.

The party's Central Working Committee meeting is also scheduled to convene today. Krishna Prasad Dulal, the acting chief secretary of the party office, stated that the meeting would begin at 1 PM.

He mentioned that the office has instructed the attendance of office bearers, members of the Central Working Committee, and provincial chairpersons.

General Secretary Pradeep Paudel informed that the meeting will form an expert committee to study constitutional amendments. He also stated that discussions would be held regarding preparations for the 15th General Convention.

He highlighted that the main agenda of the meeting includes reviewing provincial elections with candidates, the effective operation of provincial and local governments, and discussions concerning sister organizations, well-wisher groups, and public relations committees.
