Weather Forecast Indicates Partial Cloudiness and Chance of Light Rain/Snowfall Across Nepal

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that Nepal is currently under the partial influence of the westerly wind system along with local air masses. Due to this influence, there is generally cloudy weather in the Koshi, Madhesh, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in the hilly and mountainous regions of the country, while the remaining areas are experiencing partly cloudy conditions.

This afternoon, there will be generally cloudy skies in the Koshi Province and the hilly and mountainous regions across the country. There is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms in some places in the hilly and mountainous areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, and in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of the remaining provinces, as well as in one or two places in the Terai region of the Koshi Province, accompanied by snowfall.

Tonight, the mountainous regions of the country will have generally cloudy skies, and the hilly regions will be partly cloudy.

The Department has indicated a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms and snowfall in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of the Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, and in one or two places in the remaining mountainous and hilly regions.
