Anjan Shrestha's Panel Announced for Upcoming Federation Elections

Kathmandu. The panel for Anjan Shrestha, the prospective President of the upcoming Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) elections, has been announced. The team of Senior Vice President Shrestha was declared on Monday during a declaration assembly in Kathmandu for the 60th Annual General Meeting and elections.

Senior Vice President Shrestha is automatically set to become the President. For the Shrestha panel, Shiv Prasad Ghimire has announced his candidacy for Vice President from the Commodity Associations, Prabaljung Pandey for Vice President from the Associates, and Dilsundar Shrestha and Krishna Prasad Sharma for Vice President from the District/Municipalities.

The FNCCI's 60th Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Chaitra 29 and 30. Announcing his candidacy for Commodity Vice President, Shiv Prasad Ghimire committed to transforming the Federation into a common, reliable, and effective organization for industrialists and businesspeople at all levels by practically establishing the private sector as the backbone of national development.

He stated that this would involve policy reforms friendly to the private sector and responsible and meaningful participation of the private sector in the policy-making process.

He said, 'We will develop the Secretariat as a professional, skilled, and service-oriented institution while making the Federation inclusive, transparent, and accountable. Our priority will be to develop a culture of working that shows results, not just commitments. This manifesto is not just a dream of the private sector but a commitment to action.'

He stated that if elected, he would ensure respect, security, and a future for the entire private sector. Similarly, Dilsundar Shrestha, a candidate for District/Municipality Vice President, stated that he would develop the Secretariat as a professional, skilled, and service-oriented institution while making the Federation inclusive, transparent, and accountable.

He committed that the development of a culture of working that shows results, not just commitments, would be his priority. He also stated that local production would be encouraged through collaboration with the upcoming government.

Prabaljung Pandey, the candidate for Associate Vice President, stated that efforts would be made to reform the tax system in coordination with the upcoming government. He expressed eagerness to work hand-in-hand with the next government for national development. He stated the necessity of moving forward by abolishing the past-influenced tax system.

Earlier, Vice President Hemraj Dhakal had already announced his candidacy for Senior Vice President and his team following the upcoming elections. From Dhakal's panel, Jyotsna Shrestha has announced her candidacy for Associate Vice President.

She is currently the Associate Vice President. Similarly, Umesh Dalmia and Kalpana Gaire for District/Municipality Vice President, Nareshlal Shrestha for Commodity Vice President, and Kamala Shrestha among others have announced their candidacies from Dhakal's panel.
