Skoda Superb Sets New Guinness World Record for Longest Distance on Single Tank of Fuel

Automobile company Skoda has demonstrated its engineering prowess by setting a new world record in 'real-world' driving. A model of the Skoda Superb successfully completed a journey of 2,831 kilometers (1,759 miles) using only one tank of fuel, establishing a 'Guinness World Record'.

This achievement, realized in Europe, is highly relevant for markets like Nepal, where fuel efficiency, vehicle reliability, and confident travel are given special priority during long-distance journeys.

This record was achieved with a production-standard Skoda Superb equipped with a TDI engine, which once again confirmed the lasting advantages and power of diesel engines for long-haul travel. The vehicle, driven by professional rally driver Miko Martic, covered the entire distance without refueling.

During the journey, the car's average fuel consumption was only 2.61 liters per 100 kilometers, which is even better than its official fuel-efficiency rating. This feat was achieved not in a controlled lab test but on real roads, utilizing smooth acceleration, minimal braking, and maintaining a steady speed.
