National Cooperative Regulation Authority Halts Registration and Documentation for Savings and Credit Cooperatives

Kathmandu. The registration and documentation process for cooperatives will cease from Chaitra 17. The National Cooperative Regulation Authority issued a notice stating that the registration and documentation process for cooperative institutions primarily dealing in savings and loans is being closed.

The Authority has announced that the registration and documentation process, which began on Mangsir 10, 2082, in accordance with the 'Criteria for Registration and Documentation of Cooperative Institutions Primarily Dealing in Savings and Loans, 2082,' will only continue until Chaitra 17.

The Authority requires the concerned cooperative institutions to submit the bank voucher for the prescribed fee and enter the necessary details into the online system within the stipulated timeframe.

However, the Authority has provided some leniency for cooperatives that have paid the fee within the specified time but still have incomplete details to enter due to technical or other reasons. Such institutions will be allowed to complete the full detail entry by Baisakh 17, 2083.
