Four Confirmed Dead in Tipper Truck Accident in Palpa District

Palpa. The death toll from the tipper truck accident that occurred in Palpa on Saturday evening has reached four.

Those who died have been identified as 26-year-old Chintabahadur Sunar and 26-year-old Sunil BK, both from Siddhara, Shitalganga Municipality-4, Arghakhanchi; 26-year-old Sunil Nepali from Khairani, Devdaha Municipality-2, Rupandehi; and 33-year-old Rajan Chidi from Patuwa, Tansen Municipality-10, according to District Police Office Information Officer Deputy Superintendent of Police Homprakash Chaudhary. Chidi died while undergoing treatment at Bhairahawa Medical College, Rupandehi.

The accident involved the tipper truck with license plate Lu2Kha 4525 on the Jhadewa-Rahabas internal unpaved road section at Rahabas, Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-7 here. The empty tipper truck fell about 50 meters down the road while traveling from Jhadewa towards the Rahabas limestone mine. The District Police Office stated that further investigation into the accident is underway.
