Strong Winds and Lightning Disrupt Life in Koshi Province; Livestock Killed in Solukhumbu

Biratnagar. Life in Koshi Province has been affected due to strong winds and lightning. According to DIG Binod Ghimire, Chief of the Provincial Police Office, some goats died in Solukhumbu after being struck by lightning.

DIG Ghimire informed that no reports of human casualties have been received so far. "So far, there has been no human loss, but we have received a report that some goats died due to lightning in Solukhumbu," he said.

He stated that all police units across the province have been kept on standby in view of the risk posed by strong winds and bad weather. The police have urged everyone to adopt security precautions to avoid potential disasters and risks.

DIG Sharma has also requested the general public to remain alert and to disseminate the message to stay in safe places during strong winds. The Provincial Police Office stated that the police are increasing special surveillance as the impact of strong winds continues in various parts of the province.
