Western Low-Pressure System and Local Winds Affecting Nepal's Weather Forecast

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that Nepal is currently under the influence of a western low-pressure system and local winds.

Due to this influence, most areas in Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, along with the remaining hilly and mountainous regions, are experiencing cloudy conditions. The rest of the country is generally cloudy. 

Most parts of the country will remain cloudy this afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, hailstorms, and strong winds in many places across Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in some places in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, along with snowfall.  

The entire country will generally be cloudy tonight. The department has indicated a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms and snowfall in a few places in the mountainous regions of Koshi Province and the remaining provinces, and in one or two places in the remaining hilly regions.
