Woman Critically Injured by Hunter's Bullet While Gathering Fodder in Nuwakot

Nuwakot. A woman gathering fodder was seriously injured by a bullet fired by a hunter in Diyale, Shivapuri Rural Municipality-3, Nuwakot.

Local Police Superintendent Bipin Regmi informed that 41-year-old Kanchhimaya Tamang was in serious condition after being shot in the chest by a hunter on Thursday afternoon. Following the incident, Tamang was rescued and transported to Kathmandu for treatment while in critical condition.

She is currently receiving treatment at HAMS Hospital in Dhumbarahi. Police Superintendent Regmi stated that preliminary investigation at the scene revealed that about 17-18 local people had gone hunting in the jungle near the settlement on Thursday afternoon, and the incident occurred at that time. The police reported recovering two muzzle-loading guns and deer meat used in the incident.
