Eleven Road Projects Worth Half a Billion Rupees Underway in Baglung

Baglung. Eleven small and large road projects worth half a billion rupees are being upgraded rapidly in Baglung. The District Road Division Office stated that 11 roads, ranging from NPR 20 million to NPR 250 million, are being upgraded under the Road Division Office.

The Harichaur-Malma-Pandavkhani-Ramuwa-Bhimgithe-Nishikhola road in Galakot Municipality, contracted in 2079 BS for blacktopping at a cost of NPR 250 million, is reaching its final stage of upgrade. This road, the largest project operated by the office, has achieved 70 percent physical progress. The other 10 roads were contracted only after 2081 BS.

Hari Subedi, Chief of the Division Road Office Baglung, informed that the upgrade of 11 roads worth NPR 495.4 million is underway through the District Road Division Office across the district. According to Subedi, although other projects were contracted after 2081, the blacktopping of the Harichaur-Malma-Pandavkhani road is being delayed.

Landslide clearing, road excavation, and road upgrading work are ongoing on the Pakhute-Bayokhola-Jhimpa-Nisi road section. Work is being carried out under a contract worth NPR 15.8 million with MS Indreni Jawala JV, and the physical progress of this road stands at 55 percent.

Upgrading work has rapidly commenced on the Ransinghkiteni Dobhan to Ramuwa road section in Galakot Municipality-10, contracted in Mangsir 2082 BS with MS Konda Sarvasiddhi JV for NPR 13.2 million.

Work has progressed for the Achhete-Multana-Sim road upgrade, contracted for NPR 21.1 million. This recently started road has achieved 55 percent physical progress. In Phalebas Municipality, road upgrading is rapidly taking place for the Dullebensi-Amarpuri-Daraudi-Suntalchaur road at a cost of approximately NPR 24.3 million.

The progress of this road has reached 60 percent. This road is scheduled for handover by Asar 2083 BS. Upgrading work is also being carried out on the road connecting Bhairavsthan via Adarsha Primary School Danda thar to Syalpa.

The work on this road, costing NPR 21.7 million, is 54 percent complete. The road upgrade contract for Manglikhola-Dhamja-Beldhunga-Myagdi road, worth NPR 22.9 million, was signed in Poush 2082 BS, and the upgrading work has begun.

The Bangechaur-Uppallachaur road improvement, contracted in Magh 2081 BS for NPR 67.2 million, has been upgraded and reached the blacktopping stage. Graveling is being prepared for the blacktopping of this road.

Road upgrading is underway on the Ratmata-Kolko-Ghumti-Rithabot-Pakhathar connecting Kundule road in Baglung Municipality-3 at a cost of NPR 22.5 million, achieving 55 percent progress. The road from Dothetaal to Ramtola in Baglung is being upgraded in two phases for NPR 55 million.
