Lumbini Province Cabinet Approves New Regulations, Reassigns Key Provincial Secretaries and Health Officials

Butwal. The cabinet meeting of the Lumbini Province government has made several decisions. Chaired by Chief Minister Chetanarayan Acharya, the meeting held on Wednesday at the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers' Office decided on the placement of promoted employees and the reshuffling of responsibilities for provincial secretaries.

The meeting approved the 'Provincial Project Bank (Operation and Management) Directive, 2082,' informed Health Minister Khem Bahadur Saru. The provincial government stated that the objective of this directive is to systematize the selection, management, and implementation of priority projects in the province.

As per the decision, Binod Lamichhane was given the additional responsibility of Secretary for the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, Narad Gautam was given the additional responsibility of Secretary for the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management, and Cooperatives, and Diwakar Bhandari was given the responsibility of Secretary for the Ministry of Social Development.

In the Provincial Health Service, Roshanlal Chaudhary has been placed as Chief Public Health Administrator at the Health Directorate, Rapti Valley (Deukhuri). Dr. Rajendrakumar Giri has been assigned as Chief Public Health Administrator at the Provincial Supply Management Center, Rupandehi. Similarly, Dr. Mohammad Nurul Hoda has been placed at Rapti Provincial Hospital, Tulsipur, and Dr. Padmaraj Adhikari at Gulmi District Hospital.

Dr. Shakuntala Kumari has been given the responsibility as Chief Consultant Medical Generalist at Rampur Hospital. Dr. Anup Thapa has been placed as Chief Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Butwal Provincial Hospital.

Furthermore, Dr. Bhuwan Poudel has been given the responsibility as Chief Consultant Surgeon at the same hospital, and Dr. Surendra Kunwar as Chief Consultant Anesthesiologist. Dr. Pushparaj Joshi has been placed as Chief Consultant General Physician, Dr. Krishnahari Subedi as Chief Consultant Pediatrician, and Dr. Prabhat Pokharel as Chief Consultant Dermatologist at Lumbini Provincial Hospital.

Dr. Gopalprasad Gyawali has been given the responsibility as Chief Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at the same hospital. In the Provincial Engineering Service, Anil Marasini has been placed as Superintendent Engineer at the Transport Infrastructure Directorate, while in the Provincial Forest Service, Ishwariprasad Poudel has been given the responsibility of Director General of Forests.
