Prime Minister Karki Thanks CPN Leaders for Role in Successful Elections

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki thanked the Nepal Communist Party (CPN) for its role in ensuring the success of the elections. She expressed her gratitude during a meeting with CPN leaders, including Coordinator and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, and Barshaman Pun, whom she called to Baluwatar today.

 Prime Minister Karki stated, 'You participated in the elections. You created an environment in favor of the elections and played a helpful role in providing a peaceful and democratic way out for the country. Thank you very much for this.'

She congratulated the leaders who won the elections and wished the other leaders well for the next time.

CPN leaders congratulated Prime Minister Karki, stating that the country found a way out due to the elections being held under her leadership.

Coordinator Prachanda said, 'If these elections had not taken place, the country would have faced another major disaster. The courage and effort with which you worked on this is very significant and commendable.'

He also recalled that he and his party had stood in favor of the elections from the very first day. 'We stood from the beginning saying there is no alternative to elections. At that time, we were the only ones who insisted that elections must happen without any 'if' or 'but',' he said.

Former Prime Minister Nepal said, 'When I heard that Sushila Karki would become the Prime Minister, I felt a great sense of relief. But later, news came that you would not come. That news made us all anxious. After you came, there was a belief that the constitution would be saved, the system would be preserved, and the situation would be managed.'

They stated that conducting the elections within six months, managing the chaotic situation, was very challenging, but it was accomplished due to Prime Minister Karki's image, integrity, and determination.
