Man Kills 75-Year-Old Mother, Injures Sister in Kanchanpur Over Land Dispute

Kanchanpur. Hari Prasad Shrestha, a resident of Dodhara-Chandani Municipality-4, Hon'ble Chowk, has allegedly murdered his 75-year-old mother, Bindra Shrestha, and injured his sister by attacking her with a sharp weapon.

According to Hem Bahadur Shahi, Information Officer at the Kanchanpur District Police Office, the accused's mother died on the spot in the incident that occurred last night.

Bhagwati Majhi, injured in the attack by her brother, is undergoing treatment at Mahakali Provincial Hospital. The search for the absconding accused is ongoing. Information Officer Shahi stated that a land-related dispute was the primary cause of the incident.
