Election Commission Publishes List of 110 Proportional Representation Members of Parliament

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has published the list of 110 members of parliament elected under the proportional representation (PR) category for the House of Representatives election.

The list published by the Commission indicates that 57 members from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, 20 from Nepali Congress, 16 from CPN-UML, 9 from the Communist Party of Nepal, 4 from the Shram Sanskriti Party, and 4 from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party have been elected under PR.

Based on the votes received by these parties in the PR category, the average votes per elected member for the Shram Sanskriti Party is higher compared to other parties, while the average votes per member for the Rastriya Prajatantra Party is the lowest.

The Shram Sanskriti Party, which ranked fourth in the PR category, received a total of 385,902 votes. The party secured four seats under PR. Based on this, the average vote per PR member for the Shram Sanskriti Party comes to 96,475.5.

Similarly, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party received 330,684 votes in the PR category. This party also secured four members of parliament under PR. Based on this, the average vote per PR member for the Rastriya Prajatantra Party is 82,671.

The Rastriya Swatantra Party, which ranked first in the PR category, secured a total of 57 members. The Rastriya Swatantra Party received a total of 5,183,493 votes in the PR category. Based on this, the average vote per PR member for the Rastriya Swatantra Party is 90,938.47.

The Nepali Congress, which ranked second, secured 20 members elected under PR with a total of 1,759,172 votes. Based on this, the average vote per PR member for the Nepali Congress is 87,958.6.

Likewise, CPN-UML is in third place with 1,455,885 votes in the PR category. Sixteen members were elected from UML under PR. Based on this, the average vote per member for UML is 90,992.81.

The Communist Party of Nepal, which ranked fourth, received a total of 811,577 votes in the PR category, with 9 members elected. Based on this, the average vote per member for the Communist Party of Nepal is 90,175.22.
