Cash and Jewelry Worth Nearly NPR 300,000 Stolen from Rental Room in Kathmandu

Kathmandu.  Valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were stolen from a rental room in Syuchatar, Nagarjun Municipality-9, Kathmandu. The theft occurred on Sunday afternoon at the room rented by Bimala Neupane, 36, from Nawalparasi East, who resides near Durga Colony.  

Taking advantage of the absence of occupants, the thieves made off with valuables including cash, gold jewelry, and silver, totaling approximately 3 lakh rupees.  Following the victim's complaint, the police have prepared an inventory of the crime scene and initiated an investigation.  

Police stated that efforts are being intensified to track down the individuals involved in the theft, who are currently at large. Recently, incidents of daytime burglaries in houses and rental rooms across various areas of Kathmandu have been on the rise.
