Two Men Arrested in Sankhuwasabha and Udayapur on Rape Charges

Kathmandu. Police have taken two men into custody on charges of committing rape in Sankhuwasabha and Udayapur.

Police arrested 20-year-old Dawa Sherpa from Chainpur Municipality-3, Sankhuwasabha, on Sunday evening on the allegation of raping a 10-year-old girl. Police stated that a team deployed from the Area Police Office, Wana, apprehended Sherpa immediately after a complaint was filed regarding the forcible act against the girl.

Similarly, 35-year-old Bhim Bahadur Shrestha from Katari Municipality-5, Bhorle, Udayapur, was arrested on the allegation of raping a 38-year-old woman. Upon receiving information that Shrestha had forcibly raped the woman, a police team dispatched from the Area Police Office, Katari, took him into custody on Sunday evening.

Police informed that necessary legal procedures are being initiated for both incidents and further investigation is underway.
