Sunsari Administration Inspects Gas Shops in Inaruwa Amid Black Market Allegations

Sunsari. The District Administration Office has inspected a gas shop in Inaruwa. Krishna Subedi, coordinator of the monitoring committee, informed that the inspection was carried out based on complaints received regarding an increase in gas black marketing recently.

He stated that the inspection covered five shops in Inaruwa that had facilities for sale, specifically those selling Suwidha, Prima, Kamakhya, and Koshi gas. Giriraj Atal, Vice President of the Inaruwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, informed that it was found that there was sufficient gas available in Inaruwa, no black marketing of gas was occurring, and consumers were receiving gas as per their needs according to the arrangement.

The inspection included participation from the District Administration Office, District Police Office, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and consumers. The Sunsari District Administration Office has directed gas producers, distributors, and dealers not to hoard unnecessary stock of gas, to ensure transparent distribution through a queue system, not to create artificial shortages, not to charge more than the market price, and to maintain organized records of purchases and sales.

Ghanshyam Neupane, Assistant Chief District Officer of Sunsari, informed that legal action will be taken according to the law if the directives of the Sunsari administration are violated.
