Commission Files Corruption Case Against Former Revenue Investigation Director General

Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against the former Director General of the Department of Revenue Investigation, Jhalakram Adhikari. The Commission filed the case at the Special Court on Sunday, accusing Adhikari of corruption amounting to 7 million rupees.

The CIAA statement mentioned that Adhikari received a bribe of 7 million rupees from Shree Krishna Shrestha, the operator of HK Enterprises Pvt. Ltd.

The statement issued by the Commission also stated that Adhikari, in collusion with individuals including Bikash Chapagai, Devendra KC, and Rabindra Lamichhane, deposited the amount into their bank accounts and used it for real estate transactions.
