Kaski District Administration Imposes New Regulations on Fuel and LPG Distribution

Kaski. The Kaski District Administration Office has implemented new rules to streamline the distribution of petroleum products and LPG gas. A meeting of stakeholders held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Chief District Officer (CDO) Rudradevi Sharma decided to completely ban the open sale of petrol in bottles and jerrycans, taking into account security and management sensitivities.

To ensure equitable gas supply in the district, the administration has made special arrangements for targeted groups. It was decided that gas should be prioritized for senior citizens over 75 years of age, persons with complete disabilities, and students living in rented rooms.

To control artificial shortages and black marketing in the market, gas industries and retailers will be required to maintain a digital or written record of how much gas they received daily and how much they distributed. They have been instructed to submit these details to the District Administration Office daily.

The administration has prohibited the unnecessary hoarding of gas and mandated that only officially certified businesses can sell it. Furthermore, those bringing gas from outside districts to sell in Kaski have been asked to submit their details immediately.

Urging the public to report directly to the administration in case of fraud related to gas price, weight, or distribution, CDO Sharma also encouraged consumers to increase the use of electric stoves to reduce dependence on gas.
