Jewelry and Cash Worth Lakhs Stolen in Separate Incidents in Kathmandu and Jhapa

Kathmandu. Property worth lakhs of rupees has been stolen from two separate locations in Kathmandu and Jhapa.

Jewelry and cash totaling approximately NPR 175,000 were stolen from the room of 32-year-old Indira Ghimire, who resides in Gauriaghat, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7, on Friday afternoon. Police stated that the thief made off with the valuables while Ghimire, originally from Sindhuli Tinpatan Rural Municipality-8, was not in her room.

Similarly, a significant amount of theft occurred at Buddha Chowk in Birtamod Municipality-1, Jhapa. Property including various gold ornaments and cash totaling approximately NPR 1,550,000 was stolen from the house of local resident Dev Narayan Khatiwada. The individuals involved in Friday's incident are currently on the run.

Local police have prepared preliminary records for both incidents and intensified the search for the absconding thieves.
