Two Killed in Separate Road Accidents in Sarlahi and Dhanusha

Kathmandu. Two people have died in separate road accidents in Sarlahi and Dhanusha. A pedestrian died after being hit by a Scorpio vehicle on the road in Sitapur, Ward No. 10 of Barahathwa Municipality, Sarlahi, on Friday night.

Police stated that 50-year-old Narayan Jarga Magar of Barahathwa Municipality-9 died while undergoing treatment at the Nagar Hospital, Barahathwa, after being hit by the Indian Scorpio with license plate DL 9 CZD 0777, which was heading from Barahathwa towards Sitapur.

Four other pedestrians were also seriously injured in the same accident and are currently being treated at the same hospital. Police have taken the Scorpio driver into custody and started an investigation.

Similarly, one woman died when two motorcycles collided with each other in Ward No. 7 of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City, Dhanusha. Fifty-five-year-old Pawan Devi from Ekadara Rural Municipality-3, Mahottari, who was riding the Bagmati Province motorcycle with license plate 06-005 P 3278, died after it collided with the Indian motorcycle bearing license plate BR 30 AZ 1226.

She was rushed to Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar, for treatment after being seriously injured in the accident that occurred on Friday afternoon, but she died on Saturday morning during treatment. Police have taken the driver of the involved Indian motorcycle into custody and are further investigating the incident.
