Western Disturbance and Low-Pressure System Affecting Nepal's Weather

Kathmandu. The Department of Meteorology Forecasting has stated that Nepal is currently under the partial influence of a Western Disturbance and a low-pressure system situated near the eastern parts of the country in the lower atmosphere.

Due to this influence, there is generally cloudy weather in the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as Koshi province. The hilly and mountainous regions of the remaining provinces are experiencing partly cloudy conditions.

This afternoon, there will be generally cloudy skies in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Sudurpashchim provinces, and partly cloudy skies in the remaining parts of the country. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms in a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as the mountainous regions of the remaining provinces, and in one or two places in the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, along with snowfall in the Terai region of Koshi province.

Tonight, the mountainous regions of the country will generally be cloudy, while the remaining areas will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms and snowfall in a few places in the mountainous regions of the country, and in one or two places in the hilly regions.
