Nepali Congress Leader Shekhar Koirala Submits Election Expenditure Details for Morang-6 Constituency

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala, a candidate in the House of Representatives election for Morang-6 constituency, has submitted his election expenditure details.

According to the official details submitted to the Provincial and District Election Office Morang, Koirala stated that he spent a total of NPR 2,231,088.69 in the election. His election representative, Bikash Thapa, registered these expenditure details with the commission on Thursday, in compliance with Section 72 of the House of Representatives Election Act, 2074, and the Election Code of Conduct.

Reviewing the details submitted by Koirala, the largest amount was spent on printing campaign materials. A sum of NPR 1,646,609.19 was spent solely on printing materials such as voter lists, sample ballots, flyers, pamphlets, local manifestos, flags, and flex banners. Furthermore, the details mention an expenditure of NPR 113,000 for election publicity, NPR 116,319.50 for vehicle fuel, and NPR 104,500 for stationery items including pens, files, and photocopy paper.

During the election campaign, NPR 96,660 was spent on snacks and meals for workers and well-wishers. Additionally, NPR 79,000 was allocated for transportation to mobilize the party and its affiliated organizations, NPR 40,000 for tent arrangements to operate the campaign office, and NPR 35,000 for the purchase of miscellaneous necessary supplies.
