According to information provided by Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation, several drones targeted the airport area, causing physical damage to some structures. A statement released by the state news agency KUNA indicated that there were no human casualties from the attack.

The airport had already suspended commercial flights for security reasons, and Kuwaiti airspace was temporarily closed. This incident occurs amidst rising tensions in the Middle East.

It has been reported that Iran has recently intensified retaliatory attacks targeting energy infrastructure in the region. During that period, there were also reports of attacks on two foreign oil tankers in Iraqi waters.

Emergency teams are attempting to control a fire at a fuel storage tank in Oman. Bahrain also reported Iranian attacks targeting its country's fuel tanks early Thursday morning.
