Proportional Representation Vote Counting Nears Completion Across Nepal

Kathmandu. The counting of votes for the Proportional Representation (PR) category under the House of Representatives election is ongoing. According to the Election Commission's data, there are no more districts or constituencies left where the PR vote counting has yet to begin nationwide.

Based on the received data, the PR vote counting has been fully completed in all districts and constituencies of the Bagmati, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, including the Kathmandu Valley. Counting is still underway in only a few limited constituencies across the remaining four provinces.

Where has the counting been completed?
According to the Commission's statistics, the counting has concluded in all three districts of the Kathmandu Valley.

Similarly, counting has finished in Rasuwa, Sindhuli, Dolakha, Nuwakot, Dhading, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Ramechhap, Kavre, and Sindhupalchowk in the Bagmati Province. In the Karnali Province, counting has ended in Dailekh, Kalikot, Surkhet, Humla, Jumla, Mugu, Salyan, Jajarkot, Dolpa, and Rukum West. In the Sudurpashchim Province, counting has also concluded in Kanchanpur, Darchula, Dadeldhura, Bajhang, Doti, Kailali, Achham, Baitadi, and Bajura.

Where is the counting still underway?
Vote counting is currently taking place in only a few limited constituencies across the remaining 4 provinces of the country.

Under the Koshi Province, counting is ongoing in Ilam-1, Sunsari-2, Bhojpur-1, along with Okhaldhunga and Sankhuwasabha. Counting has been completed in all other districts and areas of the province.

In the Madhesh Province, counting is proceeding in Dhanusha constituencies No. 1 and 2, Mahottari-4, and Saptari-1, while it has been completed in all remaining districts and areas.

In the Gandaki Province, counting is still underway only in Gorkha constituencies No. 1 and 2. Counting has finished in all other districts such as Kaski, Tanahun, Lamjung, and others.

In the Lumbini Province, counting is ongoing in Bardiya-2 and Nawalparasi West-1. Counting has been completed in the remaining locations including Gulmi, Dang, Banke, Rupandehi, and others.
