Weather Forecast Indicates Partial Cloudiness and Chance of Light Rain/Snowfall Across Nepal

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology stated that Nepal is currently under the partial influence of the westerly wind, a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, and a low-pressure area near the eastern part of the country in the lower atmosphere.

Currently, there is generally cloudy weather in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, along with the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the remaining areas are experiencing partial cloudiness. 

This afternoon, there will be general cloud cover across the country. There is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms and snowfall in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, in the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in one or two places in the Terai region of Lumbini province. 

Tonight, there will be general cloud cover in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, as well as the hilly and mountainous regions of the country. The department stated that there is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms and snowfall in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in the Terai region of Lumbini province.
