Nearly 20,000 Votes Declared Invalid in Mahottari Federal Parliament Elections

Mahottari. According to the vote counting results for the House of Representatives election-2082, 20,000 votes were declared invalid in Mahottari. The final report issued by the Office of the Chief Returning Officer states that a total of 19,935 votes were invalidated across all four constituencies of the district.

Regionally, the Chief Returning Officer Madhav Prasad Adhikari stated that 3,954 votes were invalidated in Mahottari Constituency No. 1, 5,449 in Constituency No. 2, 5,010 in Constituency No. 3, and 5,522 in Constituency No. 4.

In Mahottari, which has four constituencies, a total of 431,282 voters were registered, and 261,346 people cast their votes in the House of Representatives 2082 election. This means that 60.59 percent voter turnout was recorded. Of these, 241,411 votes (92.37 percent) were validated. A total of 19,935 votes (7.62 percent) were invalidated.
