Light to Moderate Rainfall and Snowfall Reported in Parts of Nepal

Kathmandu. In the last 6 hours, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and snowfall occurred in some places in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and in one or two places in Koshi and Bagmati provinces. 

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces are generally cloudy, while other areas are partly cloudy.

Thick fog has persisted in the Kathmandu Valley and the Terai regions since early morning. According to the forecast issued by the Department, there is a possibility of rain in a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces today.

Furthermore, light rain with thunderstorms and snowfall is possible in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Meteorologists have advised residents of hilly and mountainous areas to exercise caution due to the changing weather and the possibility of rain.
