Nepali Ambassador to Bangladesh Holds Courtesy Meeting with New State Minister for Foreign Affairs

Kathmandu. Nepal's Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanshyam Bhandari, held a courtesy meeting with Bangladesh's newly appointed State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shama Obaid Islam. The Nepali Embassy in Bangladesh stated that during the meeting on Sunday morning, Ambassador Bhandari congratulated State Minister Islam on her new appointment and wished her a successful tenure.

Various dimensions of bilateral relations between Nepal and Bangladesh were discussed in detail during the meeting. It was reported that both sides talked about further strengthening mutual cooperation and collaboration, especially in the sectors of trade, connectivity, energy, education, and tourism.

This meeting is being viewed as significant amidst the growing interest between Nepal and Bangladesh in energy trade and transportation networks recently. During the meeting, they also exchanged views on further strengthening cooperation between the two countries in regional and multilateral forums.

The Nepali Embassy further stated that during the meeting, both sides committed to prioritizing high-level visits and economic partnership in the coming days to elevate the close relationship between Nepal and Bangladesh to greater heights.
