Proportional Representation Vote Count Concludes in Myagdi District

Myagdi. The vote counting for the proportional representation category of the House of Representatives election has been completed in Myagdi.

In the House of Representatives election held last Thursday, independent candidate Mahabir Pun was elected under the direct category. According to the Chief Election Officer Suryabahadur Thapa, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) received the highest number of votes under the proportional representation category in the district. RSP secured 19,987 votes, CPN (UML) received 9,457, Nepali Congress got 7,594, and CPN (Maoist Centre) received 4,162 votes.

The Shram Sanskriti Party received 1,715 votes, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) received 844, Rastriya Mukti Party received 762, and the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) received 177 votes.

A total of 47,261 votes were cast under the proportional representation category in the district. 1,710 votes were invalidated, and 45,906 votes were counted.
