Nepali Congress Leader Udaya Shamsher Rana Admits Election Results Fell Short of Expectations

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Joint General Secretary Udaya Shamsher Rana stated that the results in the House of Representatives election did not meet expectations. Following his defeat to Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Buddharatna Maharjan in Lalitpur-1, Joint General Secretary Rana expressed this on the social media platform Facebook.

 ‘Your hard work, trust, and support have been a great inspiration to me. Although the results did not meet expectations, I express my gratitude to all the voters,’ Rana wrote on Facebook.

Mentioning that victory and defeat are both part of the democratic process, Rana committed to respecting the people's mandate and continuously standing with the citizens of Lalitpur-1 in their joys and sorrows.
