Vote Counting Begins in Gorkha Constituency-1 After Two-Day Delay

Gorkha. Vote counting has begun for the House of Representatives election in Gorkha Constituency No. 1. Due to geographical remoteness causing delays in ballot box collection, counting for this constituency started only two days after voting concluded.

Chief Election Officer Bishnu Prasad Gautam informed that counting commenced at the main election officer's office located at the District Coordination Committee at 12:30 PM today.  

Security arrangements, including wire mesh fencing, have been put in place for the counting process. Twelve candidates, including Swarnim Gurung of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Prem Khatri of the Nepali Congress, are in the electoral race in Gorkha-1.
