Election Results Update: Rastriya Swatantra Party Leads in 30 Constituencies

Kathmandu. As of 10:45 AM on Saturday, vote counts have been announced for 40 constituencies. According to the Election Commission, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has secured victory in 30 constituencies so far and maintains a lead in another 87.

Similarly, the Nepali Congress has won in 5 locations and is leading in 10. The CPN-UML has won 2 seats and is leading in 10. The CPN (Maoist Centre) has won 2 seats and is ahead in 9.

Furthermore, one independent candidate has been declared victorious, while six other independent candidates are currently leading.

The House of Representatives elections were held on Thursday. The system allows for the election of 165 members through the first-past-the-post system and 110 through proportional representation. A wave appears to be in favor of the RSP in this election.
