Shram Sanskriti Party Chairman Harkaraj Rai Takes Lead in Sunsari-1 Election Race

Biratnagar. Harkaraj Rai, chairman of the Shram Sanskriti Party and a candidate from Sunsari Constituency Number 1, has taken a lead of nearly one thousand votes.

According to the results published so far, Rai, who is also the former mayor of Dharan, has secured 6,279 votes. He is being closely followed by Goma Tamang of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), who has garnered 5,333 votes.

In third place is the candidate from the Nepal Communist Party, Suryabahadur Bhattarai, who has received 1,363 votes. UML candidate Tikaram Limbu has secured 1,102 votes, while Congress candidate Sujendra Tamang has received 985 votes.

In the initial counting for this constituency, RSP's Tamang had previously overtaken Shram Sanskriti Chairman Rai.
