CPN Candidate Gopal Sharma Widens Lead in Rukum West Municipal Vote Count

Rukum West. As the vote counting reaches its final stages in Aathbiskot Municipality and Baphikot Rural Municipality of Rukum West, CPN candidate Gopal Sharma has further strengthened his lead.

According to the details published by the Election Officer's Office, a total of 20,741 votes have been counted so far, with 19,754 votes declared valid. Among the counted votes, Gopal Sharma has secured the first position by obtaining 7,272 votes. Trailing him, Janardan Sharma of the Progressive Democratic Party is in second place with 5,160 votes.

The vote difference between the main competitors, Gopal Sharma and Janardan Sharma, has now reached 2,112. Similarly, Nepali Congress candidate Raju KC has received 4,842 votes. Man Bahadur Shahi of the Rastriya Swatantra Party is in fourth place with 1,251 votes, while CPN-UML's Nandaram Devkota is far behind, having secured only 621 votes.
