Rastriya Swatantra Party's Dr. Dhananjay Regmi Wins Syangja-1 Seat, Breaking Traditional Hold

Pokhara. Dr. Dhananjay Regmi of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has won the election from Syangja Constituency No. 1. This marks the first time the winning record has been broken in this constituency, which has historically alternated between the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML.

Regmi secured 29,071 votes, while his closest competitor, Bharat Raj Dhakal of the Nepali Congress, received 18,857 votes. CPN-UML candidate Min Prasad Gurung garnered 16,008 votes, and Shailendra Ghimire of the Communist Party of Nepal received 1,552 votes.

The vote share for all parties has shrunk in Syangja-1.
