Magdi House of Representatives Candidate Mahabir Pun Asks Supporters to Forgo Victory Procession

Kathmandu. Social activist Mahabir Pun, a candidate for the House of Representatives from Magdi, has requested that supporters refrain from holding a victory procession even if he wins.

Through social media, he mentioned that the vote counting is underway and asked supporters from various villages not to gather in Beni Bazaar for a victory procession even if he is declared victorious. He wrote on social media that there is no real meaning in holding a victory procession until the goal of making the country economically prosperous by removing corruption and misgovernance is achieved.

'There is no meaning in holding a victory procession until the country is made economically prosperous by removing corruption and misgovernance,' he wrote on social media. Pun also advised other candidates and their supporters to exercise restraint.

Pun, who contested from Magdi, was supported by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in this election.
