Rastriya Swatantra Party Candidate Takes Commanding Lead in Makwanpur-1 House of Representatives Race

Hetauda. In the House of Representatives election for Makwanpur Constituency No. 1, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Prakash Gautam has secured a lead more than five times that of his closest competitor. Among the votes counted so far from Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City Wards No. 2, 4, 5, and 6, Gautam has surpassed 10,000 votes.

While Gautam has garnered 10,791 votes, Nepali Congress's Mahalakshmi Upadhyaya Dina is trailing behind, having received 2,213 votes. The lead that RSP's Gautam established from the beginning continues to grow.

Even in Dina's home ward, the RSP candidate took a lead of over 1,800 votes. In Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City Ward No. 2, RSP's Gautam secured 1,800 votes, while Dina was limited to 600. Both major parties have fallen behind in the Hetauda market area, traditionally considered strongholds for the CPN-UML and the Nepali Congress.

In Makwanpur-1, CPN-UML candidate Rameshwor Rana has received 1,927 votes in the counting so far, while CPN candidate Bijay Gautam has secured 660 votes.

Deepak Bahadur Singh of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), who won the same constituency in the 2079 elections, is also trailing, currently limited to fourth place with 1,510 votes counted so far.
