Former PM Dr. Baburam Bhattarai Terms Nationwide Wave for RSP in General Election a 'Peaceful Revolt'

Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has termed the nationwide public wave seen in favor of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in the general election following the historic Janji rebellion as a peaceful revolt. Expressing his views on social media, he stated that this mandate is the intense aspiration expressed by the general public for good governance and prosperity.

He believes that all political forces must accept this surge in favor of the nascent party. According to Bhattarai, the main task now is the skillful management of the long-entrenched internal socio-economic problems and external geopolitical challenges in the country.

He wished RSP and its leadership team complete success, hoping they can fulfill the legitimate expectations of the people as quickly as possible. He analyzed that the rise of RSP has added a new dimension to Nepali politics at a time when the older parties are failing to understand the sentiments of the people.

Dr. Bhattarai emphasized that although the path ahead for the new leadership is challenging, this unprecedented mandate from the people must be transformed into an opportunity. He also expressed confidence that the success of RSP will play a positive role in resolving the country's current crisis.
