Vote Counting to Begin Today in Panchthar District for Federal and Provincial Elections

Kathmandu. The counting of votes for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections in Panchthar district is set to begin at 12:00 PM today. Chief Election Officer Kumar Maske informed Ratopati that all necessary preparations for the counting have been completed and the counting will commence shortly.

He stated that although an all-party meeting held earlier had agreed to start counting from 11:00 AM, there has been a slight delay due to logistical preparations and the process of opening ballot boxes.

'The all-party meeting has concluded and there was an agreement to start counting from 11:00 AM,' said Chief Election Officer Maske, 'Currently, management work is underway and the ballot boxes are being opened. We will formally start counting by 12:00 PM immediately after.'

Security arrangements at the counting site have been tightened, and representatives from political parties have also arrived at the counting venue.
