Vote Counting Halted in Dhanusha Constituency 1 Pending Election Commission Directive

Dhanusha. The counting process for the House of Representatives election 2082 in Dhanusha Constituency Number 1 will not begin immediately. The Election Officer's Office issued a notice stating that the counting process will not proceed until clear instructions are received from the Election Commission.

In this constituency, the candidacy of RSP candidate Kishori Sah was rejected by the Commission on Falgun 18. Although voting has been completed, it is understood that counting has been stopped due to the need for clarity on some technical or legal matters. According to the notice signed and issued by Election Officer Manoj Baral, the Commission has been formally contacted seeking concrete guidelines regarding the vote counting.

However, since no official response has been received from the center so far, the counting work remains uncertain. The office stated that counting will commence in coordination with party representatives as soon as the Commission's directive is received.

A subsequent notice will be issued later regarding the exact time the vote counting will begin. The ballot boxes for Dhanusha-1 are currently kept under tight security.
