Prachanda Maintains Commanding Lead in Rukum Purma Constituency Vote Count

Kathmandu. As the vote counting continues for the House of Representatives elections, CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has maintained a wide lead. Prachanda, who took the lead from the beginning, has significantly surpassed his closest competitor based on the vote count received so far.

According to the latest vote counting statistics, Prachanda, whose election symbol is the 'Five-Pointed Star', has secured 2,989 votes. His closest rival is Nepali Congress candidate Kusum Devi Thapa. Thapa, who contested with the 'Rukha' (Tree) election symbol, has garnered 916 votes. The vote difference between the first and second-place candidates stands at 2,073.

Similarly, CPN (UML) candidate Lilamani Gautam is in third place with 592 votes. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Lakhan Kumar Thapa, contesting with the 'Ghanti' (Bell) symbol, has received 289 votes.

Other smaller parties and independent candidates have also received minor votes in this constituency. Accordingly, Sandip Pun of Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party received 58 votes, Jyoti Roka Magar of Mongol National Organisation received 47 votes, and Judda Bahadur Buda Magar of CPN (Maoist) received 29 votes.

Furthermore, Dharma Kumar Buda of National Republic Nepal received 28 votes, Chandra Prasad Shahi of Rastriya Janamorcha received 17 votes, Ropan Shah of Rastriya Prajatantra Party received 13 votes, and Sir Bahadur Buda of Janata Samajbadi Party received a total of 2 votes.
