Rabi Lamichhane's Party Candidate Ranjana Thapa Secures Victory in Kathmandu-1 House Seat

Kathmandu. The victory of Ranjana Thapa, the candidate from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in the House of Representatives election constituency number 1 in Kathmandu, has been confirmed.   

With 23,227 votes counted, Thapa has secured 12,078 votes. Her closest competitor, Prabal Thapa from the Nepali Congress, has garnered 5,216 votes. In this constituency where approximately 29,000 votes were cast, only about 5,000 votes remain to be counted.

Since the remaining votes are fewer than Thapa's lead, her victory is assured. Among other competitors in Kathmandu-1, Rabindra Mishra of the RPP has received 3,185 votes. Mohan Raj Regmi of CPN-UML has received 984 votes.
