Nepal Weather Update: Mostly Clear Skies Expected Across the Country

Kathmandu, February 22: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that the weather will generally remain clear in most parts of the country today.

The department mentioned that there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall in one or two locations with partial cloud cover in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Partial cloud cover is expected in the hilly areas, with a chance of light rain in some places. The weather in the Terai regions of these provinces will remain mainly clear.

The department's forecast indicates that the weather in the Terai region of Madhesh Province will remain mainly clear throughout the day. Furthermore, although there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall in one or two locations with partial cloud cover in the Himalayan regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, the hilly areas will have partial cloud cover, and the Terai regions will remain mainly clear.

It is reported that the Himalayan region of Lumbini Province will experience partial cloud cover with a possibility of light rain or snowfall in one or two locations, and the hilly areas may see partial cloud cover with light rain in one or two spots, while the Terai region will remain mainly clear. In Karnali Province, although the weather in the Himalayan and hilly regions will be mainly clear, there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall in one or two locations.

The department also stated that the weather in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Sudurpaschim Province will generally remain clear, but there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall in one or two locations. The Terai region of this province is forecasted to have mainly clear weather.
