India Reaches Fourth T20 World Cup Final After Thrilling Victory Over England

Mumbai. India has entered the final of the T20 World Cup for the fourth time.

By defeating England by 7 runs in the second semi-final match held on Thursday, India secured its place in the final. India had previously reached the final in 2007 and 2014, and this is its fourth entry into the final in 2024.

In the match held at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, England won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Indian team posted a massive total of 253 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Chasing a huge target of 254 runs, the England team managed only 246 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs and was defeated by 7 runs.

England's Jacob Bethall played a magnificent century innings of 105 runs off 48 balls but could not take his team to the final.

For India, Sanju Samson played the highest innings of 89 runs. Similarly, Shivam Dube contributed 43, Ishan Kishan 39, Hardik Pandya 27, and Tilak Varma 21 runs. In bowling, England's Will Jacks and Adil Rashid took 2 wickets each. One wicket went to Jofra Archer, while 2 Indian batsmen were run out.
