Voter Turnout Reaches 61.38% in Mugu Constituency Election

Mugu. Voting for the House of Representatives election has concluded peacefully. According to the Election Office, a total of 22,115 votes were cast across the district by the final voting time of 5:00 PM.

According to Premraj Khanal, Assistant Chief Returning Officer and Information Officer at the Office of the Chief Returning Officer, of the votes cast, 11,584 were by women and 10,331 were by men. Information Officer Khanal also informed that 61.38 percent of the total votes were cast in the district.

Although there were 36,031 registered voters in the district, 13,916 voters did not turn up to vote in the direct election. The voting process was completed peacefully with significant voter presence at the polling stations established throughout the district since the morning. Seventy polling stations, including one temporary polling station, and 67 polling sites were established for the voting.
