Voter Turnout Zero at Two Polling Stations in Darchula District

Kathmandu. Voters have not arrived to cast their ballots at two polling centers in the Darchula district. Chief Election Officer of Darchula, Bhuwan Giri, informed that no voters have shown up at the Gaurishankar Secondary School in Nagu, Ward 1 of Naulgad Rural Municipality, and the Jhuksu polling center in Dudhila, Ward 3 of Api Himal Rural Municipality.

‘We are fully prepared. Security arrangements are also tight. But even by 10 AM, not a single voter has arrived here,’ Giri told Ratopati.

According to him, although there are reports that the locals are protesting by saying ‘No Vote,’ the exact reason is unknown. ‘We expect them to come by the evening. We have not received any specific information as to why they have not come,’ Giri said.

According to Giri, Gaurishankar Secondary School has 602 voters, while Jhuksu has 346 voters.
